Technical and medical translation

In technical and medical work the cost of a wrong term is not embarrassment — it is a rejected submission, an unsafe instruction or a failed tender. These documents go to translators who work in the field and are revised by a second specialist.

Fields we work in most

Energy, mining and heavy equipment; construction and infrastructure tenders; maritime and logistics; pharmaceuticals, medical devices and clinical documentation; agriculture and food safety. Where a regulator prescribes wording, we follow the prescribed wording rather than a better-sounding alternative.

Files arrive in working formats

We work in InDesign, AutoCAD exports, XML and spreadsheet formats, and return files you can use directly rather than a document someone has to rebuild. Figures, units and callouts stay attached to what they label.

What you get

  • Translators who work in the sector, not generalists
  • Second-specialist revision on every technical file
  • Client and regulator terminology applied consistently
  • Layout returned in the format you sent
  • Sworn certification added for submissions that need it

Common questions

Do you use machine translation?

Not on certified, legal or medical work. For very large internal documents we can offer machine translation with full human revision as a cheaper option, and we will say plainly when that is what you are buying.
